Going to a new church for the first time can feel intimidating.

Our hope is that we can journey with you as you experience an exciting new adventure with God.

Many of us here at St Nick’s were, at some point in our lives, where you are now: searching, seeking,

Contemplating visiting something unfamiliar called “The Episcopal Church”.

We want you to know our radical hospitality and make your visit a beautiful experience.

What to Expect:

If you are familiar with a liturgical style of worship, we are a liturgical people, you’ll feel right at home here.

If this is a new idea for you, we invite you to discover the beauty of our liturgy. Remember, many of us were right there too at one point or another. We all teach and learn from one another.

The first thing will be to decide which service to attend. For that, check out our Worship Page, for your choices of time and type We invite you to also visit our FAQ page to learn more about what to expect.

Beyond that, just a few things to know:

  • You have an important part to play in our worship (we, and God, can’t do it without you!). There will be parts of the service where “the People” (that’s you) speak/sing as the priest leads worship. Those are bolded in our worship materials. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, it’s ok to wait until you do.

  • We celebrate the Eucharist and receive Holy Communion every Sunday! We welcome every Christian to participate in the Lord’s Supper and receive Holy Communion. If you have a concern or need, please be sure to let our priest know.

  • There are a number of things that happen in our services that may be new to you. We hope to see you again and that your curiosity and God’s grace permit us to explore these traditions together!

Where to park:

Any visitor to our church is welcome to park anywhere in the parking lot in front of our building.

If you are visiting the 10am service, we recommend you park close to the main building entrance. From there, there will be a series of signs starting at the front desk that say “Chapel” directing you to the elevator upstairs and right to the chapel door. If you are attending the 5pm service, it is best to park near the sign that says “Sanctuary”.

What to wear:

You are more than welcome to wear whatever you feel will be most comfortable for you.

Whether that be a three-piece suit, sweatpants and a t-shirt or anything in-between, God meets us as we are [no dress code].

For your first visit (and every visit thereafter), please know that you have no need to stress.

Follow along as best you can and if you have questions, please ask! Otherwise, please know you can breathe easy and absorb the experience without worry of being judged.
